Introduction
The Sick Man of Europe was dying after the First World War. The Treaty of Sévres was signed but there was still hope. A young army officer was trying to save the motherland. The Turkish War of Independence was fought between 1919-1923. Mustafa Kemal started the resistance movement and tried to stop the Imperialist forces which were occupying the homeland. The Turkish Nation suffered greatly for the sake of their Independence. At end of the war, the Empire was abolished by the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and the Turkish Republic was declared. At SOBILMUN’23 delegates will try to save the motherland from the Imperialists who are trying to take their lands and freedom.
